It’s been a big couple of weeks for Turbo label owner Tiga, with the announcement of Twin Turbo, a new sub-label on Turbo that focuses on more club orientated, or “moronic club-banger style” tracks as he so eloquently puts it. The first release on Twin Turbo is one from Tiga’s alias, The Dove, and it’s titled “Girl At A Party With Siren”. The press release informs us that “‘Girl at a Party With Siren’ is the perfect soundtrack to being at a party with a girl, and hearing a siren. This is not up for discussion.” I feel that this is pretty self explanatory.
Not only this, we were also graced by a hotly anticipated release from Tiga and Zombie Nation’s ZZT side project. Featuring an intro that sounds like it’s about to break into Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean, a unique, gutteral bassline, some creative sampling and a mesmerising music video, Vulkan Alarm is slow burning electro-tinged party techno. Pun definitely intended.
