Timmy Trumpet has teamed up with the legendary Vitas for a new collaboration titled ‘The King‘. It features elements from both the Australian DJ and the Russian singer enigmatic voice.
This comes almost a year after the show at Tomorrowland 2019, which left fans surprised after a very special presentation. Russian Singer Vitas took the stage on Timmy Trumpet’s set, which seemed strange at first until they indicated that a collab could happen. Finally, last Friday, they released ‘The King’ under Trumpet’s new label, SINPHONY.
Despite the jokes and other curiosities of the internet world taken from the quirky Vitas image, this singer was one of the highest-paid in Russia from 2001 to 2003. Also, he won the best foreign artist by MTV Asia in 2011 and has released 16 studio albums to date.
Vitas is known for his wide vocal range rising five octaves, and he’s also one of the few male singers to regularly use the whistle register. Needless to say, this is something Timmy Trumpet would not miss. This, along with the sampling of the song ‘In the Hall of the Mountain King‘ – giving the track its title inspiration – provides a classic touch to the track. And at the same time, it features some very hard kicks typical of the Timmy Trumpet style.
The brand new track has two different styles separated by two drops. The first one is more focused on hard dance, and the second one with Hardstyle elements – something that matches the 150 BPM of the track. The music is accompanied by Vitas‘ vocals, whose intonation gives greater dynamics to the song arrangement. Without a doubt, it’s a perfect song for the main dancefloor of the world.
