Dog Blood – Boys Noize Records & OWSLA
An interesting teaser video called Dog Blood was posted yesterday by none other than OWSLA label owner Skrillex, and Boys Noize of BNR fame, and is a collaboration effort between the two.
What makes this interesting is the potential for collaboration between the two labels. Boys Noize Records has a stable of artists that are highly respected and extremely talented. As much as Skrillex doesn’t impress me, he has repeatedly shown that he has great taste in music that isn’t evident in his DJ sets. OWSLA doesn’t have the same roster of regular producers that Boys Noize Records has, but it has had some incredible releases from a number of great artists.
The teaser video shown below is a lot more electro/techno BNR type music than it is the ear assaulting stuff that comes out on OWSLA, and that’s quite alright by me. By the looks of things, it’s a two track EP, Middle Finger and Next Order. It will be released on Boys Noize Records on the 12th of August.
