Drake Pays Tribute To Kobe Bryant In “Toosie Slide” Music Video

Drake is arguably the biggest artist in the world which means whatever he does, it ends up going viral. Over the past week, Drake has been teasing us with his TikTok-inspired single, “Toosie Slide.” Well, today, the song finally dropped and he also blessed fans with a video in which he shows everyone how to do the dance. There are numerous references throughout the video, including one to Kobe Bryant who passed away back in January in a helicopter incident.

As you can see in the screengrab below, Drake laid out two Kobe Bryant jerseys on the table he was dancing next to. One jersey had Kobe’s #8 while the other had his #24. Drake has proven himself to be a fan of the NBA legend and even put his two numbers in his basketball gym at home.

It remains to be seen what other kinds of references Drake will make to Kobe in the future as he continues to pay tribute in various different unique ways. If Drake releases an album in the near future, we will be sure to hear some Bryant references in the lyrics.

As for Drake’s new video, it is already becoming a social media sensation and we can be sure to see an abundance of TikTok challenges in the future.

Megan Thee Stallion Puts Cheerleading Skills On Display

Megan Thee Stallion reminded us all that she definitely used to be a cheerleader in her latest Instagram post, in which the world class twerker showed off a different set of dancing skills. Meg has spoken on multiple occasions about her days as a cheerleader prior to her hip hop fame, and it’s clear that the former captain of her middle school cheer squad has still got it.

On Thursday, the “B.I.T.C.H.” rapper posted a video on Instagram of herself and her friend and stylist, E.J. King, goofing around to a rendition of Britney Spears’ 1999 breakout hit, “…Baby One More Time.” In the clip, Meg shows us all how high she can kick, coming in and out of the frame in a bright yellow two-piece set as she hoists one of her legs in the air. Meg doesn’t seem too concerned about accidentally flashing her bra at the camera, as she keeps a hilariously straight face the entire time.

“Y’all kno I love high kicks and y’all know I love @britneyspears,” Megan captioned the post. E.J., decked out in a waist trainer and hot pink, thigh high leather boots, joins her in dancing to Britney, although he doesn’t attempt the high kicks himself. Earlier that same day, Meg posted a video of herself twerking by the pool to her song, “Savage,” in the same knitted short shorts and sweater, complaining that E.J.’s camera skills are not the best.

“Kiss my ass if you hatin,” Meg wrote. “Ps. Kelsey please come home Ej don’t know how to record.” Hopefully, he’s a better stylist than he is a camera man.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Appears To Send Shade At Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan is considered by many to be the greatest basketball player in NBA history. However, he wasn’t even the first overall pick in his draft year as some felt there were other players who were better than him. In fact, some felt like he wasn’t even the best player on the North Carolina Tar Heels. Regardless, SportsCenter recently held a bracket in which they looked to see who was the best college player of all time. Somehow, Jordan ended up winning which was a surprise to numerous basketball fans.

Many said Kareem Abdul-Jabbar should have won considering everything he did in college. The NBA legend seemed to agree as he took to Twitter with one phrase, “LMAO.” As you will see from the tweet, there is no context as to why he is saying this but when you consider the timing, it is pretty clear that he is referencing the slight he received in the recent bracket.

We’re sure Abdul-Jabbar has no ill will towards Jordan and that he is simply commenting on the results as opposed to the player himself. Abdul-Jabbar is well-aware of everything he accomplished and at this stage of his life, he would probably like to be recognized for his contributions.

Needless to say, it’s clear the results of this bracket are dubious, at best.
